Mission
Tucson Smiles, a top pediatric dentistry in Tucson in need of visual branding and user experience refresh to match the friendly atmosphere, and professionalism they are known for.
Quality care is a must when it comes to the dental field and in pediatric dentistry, there is an even stronger need to create an experience for the young patients to keep them comfortable from start to finish. Our mission was to communicate that atmosphere visually on the Tucson Smiles website.

Outcome
The updated website was launched with great reviews both from a visual and usability standpoint. WebMO has continued to be a partner to Tucson Smiles in the months since, providing ongoing maintenance as well as other creative services like social media management.
The Challenge
Translate the spirit of their old branding into something more modern. Keep the charm but increase visual appeal.
Tucson Smile’s original website was defined by its usage of cartoon animals and jungle imagery to create a fun inviting space for children who may be apprehensive about going to the dentist. The site needed modernizing but losing that spirit of fun was something that was always front of mind.
The Transformation
A purple and yellow color scheme was chosen for the branding, based on the colors of their logo. Liberal use of whitespace keeps the bright colors from becoming too overwhelming, while staying bright and appealing to the site’s younger audience.
We illustrated a new ladybug for use throughout the site, and used the lizard from their logo as well, keeping the concepts of the original site alive while upgrading them with future-proof, high resolution vector illustrations. The jungle motif was kept as well, used for in the site footer to highlight important contact info and interesting teeth trivia.
